Good for my small business

I used the Website Builder for my small business. It was easy enough to use. The drag-and-drop editor worked well. Got my site up quickly. No real complaints here.

Pretty good for my first shop

I decided to try Create.net to get my little online shop going, and it's been pretty good so far. I signed up for the Online Shop package. Setting up products and stuff with the Inventory Management was less complicated than I thought it would be. The templates were nice, and it was mostly easy to make it look decent. I even integrated a Payment Gateway without too much trouble, which was a relief. Had one small question about an SSL Certificate, and the UK Based Support got back to me pretty fast, which was great.

I'm looking at the pricing, and it seems cheaper if you pay annually. Is that always the case, or do they run monthly specials sometimes that make it closer?

M Mia 2 months ago
Paying annually is always cheaper. It's usually a 10-20% saving over the monthly payments.

Nah, the annual discount is pretty standard across the board, always cheaper to commit. They might have a first-year promo sometimes but monthly vs annual, annual wins.

Can I actually sell digital products like ebooks or art prints through Create.net? Or is it just for physical stuff?

S Sarah Kim 1 month ago
Yep, you totally can! I sell digital art downloads through my shop on there, works fine.

My buddy uses it for his photography presets, so yeah, digital products are good to go. You can set it up to deliver the files automatically.

Anyone know if Create.net does referral codes? Or any other deals for signing up?

N Nick V. 2 months ago
They definitely have a referral program! Check their site, you might find one floating around or get someone to refer you for a discount.

Pretty sure the main thing is the free trial for 30 days. After that, sometimes they have introductory offers, but a referral is your best bet for a discount code after the trial.

Thinking of switching from Squarespace to Create.net. Is Create.net actually easier to use, especially for someone not super techy?

M Megan R. 1 month ago
Yeah, I found it pretty straightforward. The drag and drop is way more intuitive than Squarespace's block editor, at least for me.

It's decent. I wouldn't say it's like, revolutionary easy, but if you're coming from Squarespace it should feel familiar enough to pick up quick. Plus they have UK support if you get stuck.

Are their servers actually sustainable or is that just marketing fluff? Like, how green is Create.net really?

C Chris K. 2 months ago
They do talk about it a lot, and they're UK-based which is a plus for me. I think it's legit, they have info on their site about it.

I've read they use renewable energy for their data centers. So yeah, I'd say it's more than just fluff, they seem committed to it.
